My passion is writing and using my writing to tell stories that make a difference. I've always been a creative–hence the studio art minor for fun–and I believe using my creativity and appealing to emotions is the best way to make an impact. I published my first novel when I was 15, and I haven't stopped writing since. My specialization is creative writing, and with what I've learned in workshops, I've gotten two of my poems published, won the Citino Poetry Award, and had the first creative nonfiction essay I wrote accepted for publication.

While creative writing has been my focus, I am the type of person who is always looking to challenge myself and grow. I've done magazine writing, social media, PR, broadcast journalism, screenwriting, and more. Because I've navigated college with an open mind, I have learned to quickly adapt to new environments and pick up new skills. I catch details that others miss, I am incredibly organized, and I am always punctual and ready to dive into the next adventure.

I give 100% to everything I do, and I understand that to be successful at something, you have to expect trial and error. I am great at listening to and implementing feedback. After trying so many different avenues, I am open to a wide range of careers and am confident that my problem solving skills, creativity, and dedication will carry me far.

In addition, I have worked at Starbucks for over three years, taught children’s art lessons for five years, and worked as an office assistant in an OSU residence hall for a year, so I have gained great communication and customer service skills that would prove useful when working with clients and other employees.
